Chapbook Submissions
No, Dear’s chapbook series is back!
In summer 2024, we were accepting debut chapbook submissions from the No, Dear community–poets previously published in the magazine, or poets nominated by them, who have never published a chapbook or a full-length collection.
We don’t charge reading fees, but your donations are welcome and essential to supporting this series!
We’re looking for innovative cycles of poems that play with the interpretation of and/or relationship between time and space. These may include (but are not limited to):
Urban geographies and architecture
Astrology, astronomy, and lunar cycles
Neighborhoods and neighbors
Spacetimes/futurisms of crisis or hope
and beyond!
We are open to single authorship or polyauthorship (collaborative or epistolary projects) that engage deeply with the above themes and the myriad ways our spacetime bends, warps, and frays across our shared realities.
Submission period: July 1-July 31 - CLOSED
Guidelines: Send 15-30 pages of poetry as a .docx or .pdf to nodearmagazine@gmail.com. Brief, contextualizing cover letters are welcome, but not required. Include acknowledgements for any poems in the collection that have been published, or are forthcoming. Poets will be notified if their manuscripts are selected in the fall.
